Swim Around Alcatraz

In 2007, I took on one of my coldest swims yet when I swam around Alcatraz Island. Despite the water temperature being a bone-chilling 8 degrees Celsius, I completed the 6 km distance in just 1 hour 35 minutes. Adding to the challenge, I did the entire swim without a wet suit, proving my mettle to the local swimming community.

The Pacific Ocean, surrounding western American soil, is known for its treacherous waters, home to Grey White Sharks and unpredictable conditions. But I was undeterred, facing the challenge head-on and conquering it.
